Bob Blastow 8/27

This past Saturday, August 20th, the XC Raiders took on their second 5K of the season at Bob Blastow! The Raiders packed even more than the previous raced, and many of the runners stepped up in their placement to one another this race!

Team Race Outcomes

The Varsity Boy’s ran their race through the foggy flats of McIntosh Reserve Park, where they worked out getting out fast and establishing position. As they raced through the mist, packs were established and the Raiders worked together to place in the top half of the field. As the sun began to peak through the fog, the Varsity Girl’s followed the boy’s initiative of getting out quicker, establishing placement and packs, and raced the second half of the race. A few hours later the JV squads stepped up, and while the conditions for the JV races were blazing with the thick sun humidity, both teams showed their strength by not only finishing the race but sticking to the racing plans.

The XC Raiders enjoyed racing on the flat course at McIntosh Reserve Park, and we look forward to racing there again mid-October at the Coach Wood Invitational.

The Varsity XC Raiders will travel to the Carrollton Orthopaedic Invitational to race in the Championship races on the State course on September 10th.
