Holly Baron

FCS Girl's Head Coach

Coach Baron is a fifth year coach with the AHS XC team. She obtained both all her degrees up to her Specialist from Kennesaw State University. Coach Baron began running in middle school on both cross country and track teams and has continued running ever since. These days her training consists of running, biking, strength and HIIT training, and yoga. Her coaching goal is to empower young women to empower each other and feel strong.

Derek Wright

FCS Boy's Head Coach

Coach Wright is a second year coach with the AHS Cross Country team. Since the beginning of his teaching career, he has taught in the English department at Alpharetta High School, and he holds a Specialist Degree from Kennesaw State University in English Education. Now, Coach Wright is Alpharetta's Graduation Coach. Coach Wright is an avid runner and has completed multiple marathons and 50Ks. He is currently training for multiple 12-hour races and a 100 miler in September.

Nick Phillips

FCS Assistant Coach

Coach Phillips is a first-year XC coach with AHS. He earned his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the University of Georgia, and his PhD in History Education from Auburn University. He began running track and cross country in middle school and was a Varsity runner at Chattahoochee High School. He has completed 5 marathons and regularly participated in the Peachtree Road Race. He also is the head coach of women's soccer at AHS.

Coach C

Community Coach

Coach C is a first year XC community coach with AHS. After moving to the USA she has coached XC at the Atlanta international school and before that while leaving in Belgium she has started the first XC team at the Antwep international school. She discovered her passion for running later in life, she ran some marathons and lots of half marathons. She loves weight and core training to complement her fitness goals.
